At 18 months old, Adoni Maropis went into a coma, and it was discovered he had Type 1 Diabetes. Without the help of modern day diabetic care in those days, but with, as Adoni puts it, "a lot of love, laughter, and staying in great shape," he went on to become an exceptional athlete garnering many awards in such sports as: basketball, tennis, and arm wrestling (although he claims his best sport has always been ping-pong).

Born and raised near Pittsburgh, PA in a small town (Burgettstown), he is the son of Dr. Petro S. Maropis (retired periodontist) and Despina Maropis and has two amazing brothers named Sam and Chris. Adoni graduated magna cum laude from West Virginia University with a BSBA. That summer changed his life forever when his father recommended he try acting. Yep! So, after schooling at Point Park College, and performing at the Pittsburgh Playhouse, and with help from brother Chris, he made the trek to Hollywood, California. He can be seen in movies such as THE SCORPION KING and BAD COMPANY among others. And the rest is not history, yet.
